A November Monologue:

November steps into the spotlight. Taking an intentional pause to survey the landscape, he closes his eyes and inhales the crisp air. He takes inventory of the faceless beings as if contemplating the profound significance his presence embodies. A gentle nod of acknowledgement suggests he accepts his short tenure with reverence and humility. Silence lingers with anticipation. Shushes and undecipherable whispers hold tentative space. A soft breeze rustles up expectations and the chill of nostalgia sends a shiver down everyone’s spine. November clears his throat and begins to speak…

“I have awakened from my slumber, a season of thanks and gratitude. Yet, beneath the surface of this festive facade, a darker current flows. For some, my arrival is a bittersweet reminder of what is lost, of relationships severed, of loved ones absent.
